Services at St Simons

We meet at:

St Simon & St Jude with All Souls
Old Park Lane
Merseyside PR9 7BQ

We meet each week at 9.30am & 11.00am and you would be most welcome at either service. You’ll be given a warm welcome at the door and someone will gladly show you to a seat.

At the heart of each service is clear and relevant Bible teaching, for it is there that we have found that we encounter God as we grow to know Jesus. We enjoy a range of music styles and a mixture of formal and informal forms of prayer.

We are aware that coming to anywhere new can be a bit daunting the first time, but whether you are used to church or not, we are confident you will feel at ease very quickly.

Our two services are a bit different in style, so come along to the one that you feel most comfortable with.

9.30am-A traditional service
This is a smaller and quieter service with Holy Communion most weeks

11.00am-An informal service for all ages

This service is more relaxed and offers a crèche and activities for children and young people up to the age of 14. The service includes Holy Communion on the 4th Sunday of the month

Families at St Simon’s

All ages are most welcome at St Simon’s and we enjoy the opportunities we have to all worship together. Most weeks the children join us for the start of our 11am service, then after 15 minutes those under 14 leave for their own activities. We regularly meet together for All Age services which usually take place at 11am on the 2nd Sunday of the month, and are often followed by a simple family lunch.

Holy Communion (Lord’s Supper)Celebrating Holy Communion is important for all Christians as it is a time when we specifically remember Jesus’ death in our place and share in the benefit of what he did for us. This takes the form of a symbolic meal in which we share bread and wine. Anyone who knows and loves the Lord Jesus is welcome to participate; those who do not wish to do so are free to simply watch or alternatively to come with others to the front of church and be prayed for by those who are leading the service.
