Many of us at the moment are looking for good news in a dark world. Christianity Explored is an informal series of seven sessions for those who would like to look into the Christian faith - which claims to be the good news we're looking for. It explores who Jesus was, why he came, and what it means to follow him.
You will not be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you are free to ask any questions you like. If you prefer, you can just come along and listen.
Who is Christianity Explored for?
Christianity Explored is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Everyone is welcome!
What goes on?
There’s a video to watch, some things to discuss and plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Each week starts at 7.30pm with a brew and catch up. Then, after briefly discussing the course material from the week before, we watch the video on the theme for that week. Then the groups discuss any questions that have arisen, and the evening ends by 9.00pm.
Of course, if you wish, you are welcome to stick around a bit longer and discuss any further issues you might have. What’s more, you can ask any question you like, at any time during the course.
Email Andy & Annie at explore@stsimonsouthport.org.uk to register your interest or ask questions about the next course.
Why is the course run?
Christians believe that we have exciting and life changing news to share about Jesus Christ. We do not have all the answers but are happy to help you think through your questions.
